Taking Care of Your Mental Health AND Your Relationship

Since May is Mental Health Awareness Month, I thought it would be good to share an article from Bustle where I was recently interviewed about how to talk to your partner about your mental health. Sharing your experience with anxiety or depression with someone you’re in a relationship with can be daunting.

This article offers a number of things to consider when revealing something that can feel incredibly intimate and may bring up feelings of embarrassment and confusion.  Although scary, this can also be an opportunity to bring the two of you closer to each other.

If you are struggling with feelings about your own mental health, it’s never a bad idea to seek help and support. There’s no shame in taking care of yourself and looking out for your relationship too. We all need help throughout our lives, and this may be one of those times. Please feel to reach out. I would be more than happy to offer you a free 15-minute phone consultation to help you.
